For GIP, the investment immigration cost depends on the option you choose.

Established Business Owners – Option 1

You have to invest S$2.5 million in a new business entity. Alternatively, you can invest S$2.5 million to expand an existing business operation.

Next Generation Business Owners – Option 2

Under this option, you have to invest S$2.5 million in a GIP-approved fund that invests in Singapore-based companies.

Family Office Principals – Option 3

For this criteria, your immigration cost will be S$2.5 million investment in a new or existing Singapore-based single-family office. The family office must have Assets Under Management (AUM) worth a minimum of S$200 million.

How much are the Singapore investment immigration fees?

To apply for the GIP, you need to pay a nonrefundable application fee of $S10,000 to start the immigration process.

What are the documents needed to apply for GIP?

  • Form A: Application for Permanent Residence for Investors
  • Form B: Proposed Investment Plan
  • Undertaking on the Terms & Conditions of the programme
  • Form 4: Application for An Entry Permit to Enter Singapore
  • Other supporting documents where needed

How to apply for Singapore investment immigration for GIP?

  1. Pay the application fee of S$10,000 to the Government.
  2. Complete the necessary application forms (both online and hardcopy) and supporting documents. Then, submit them to EDB within 1 month of paying the fee.
  3. If all documents are correct, you will have to attend an interview with the EDB.
  4. Then, within 2-4 months, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will issue Approval in Principle (AIP).
  5. Once you receive the AIP, you must make an investment according to your chosen option within 6 months.
  6. Also, submit evidence of investment via:
  • Certified true copy of shared certificates
  • As well as bank statements
  • Also, attach other legal documents
  • Additionally, provide Undertaking on the Terms and Conditions of the investment made.
  1. When your investment qualification is proven and verified by EDB, you will receive the Final Approval Letter from ICA.
  2. You must fulfill all your PR formalities and move to Singapore within 12 months of the final approval.
  3. When you receive your PR, you will also be issued a Re-entry Permit (REP) for 5 years. This will enable you to hold your PR even when you are outside Singapore.
  4. Upon expiry of REP, you can renew it for 3 or 5 years depending on your business performance.

Can I get Singapore Citizenship through the Global Investment Program (GIP)?

Yes! You will be eligible to apply for Singapore citizenship if you hold a PR and have lived in Singapore for at least 2 years.

Can my family become PR in Singapore via GIP?

  • Your spouse and children under 21 years old can apply for PR together with your PR application. Male dependent applicants will be liable for National Services.
  • Children 21 years old and above can apply for a 5 year Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP). It is renewable based on the validity of your reentry permit.
  • The parents of the main applicant can also apply for Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP).
